ASP.NET Calendar control – GO TO NEXT MONTH and GO TO PREVOUSE MONTH Tooltip localization

Hi Guys, Few days ago I was assigned to a task which wasted almost two days of my allocated time. Task was really a simple one. Just to localize the tool tip of Go To NEXT MONTH and GO TO PREVOUSE MONTH links in ASP.NET calendar control. My Intention was to find the relevant property in the calendar control and set it as required.

NOOOOOOO… there is no such a property in ASP.NET calendar control. Believe me, I never thought that this would take more than 5 min. but it took almost 2 days to fix. But once I found a solution it took only 5 min to finish the task.

This ASP.NET calendar control was in a custom user control which was included in another custom user control. So initially I tried java script with JQuery but no luck. Then I tried reflections.. hmmm when we are in a helpless situation always we do whatever we can. Finally I saw, this link is just a hyperlink.

So how we implement hyperlinks???? And why we can’t hook something to this using a SPAN ??? So I tried it… It WORRRRRRRKS……
